18 members from our Citizens Accountability Assemblies- CAA have been trained on how to carry out effective budget survey on budget system in Imo State and strategies on how to gather the opinions of citizens using the scorecard instrument, of which the data would be used for engagement with the elected representatives.
At the training workshop which held in Owerri on 30th October, 2017, the resource person at the event, Miss Ogeh Enwelum, from Divine Era Development and Social Rights- DEDASRI reiterated that the purpose of the workshop was to build the capacity and knowledge of the CAAs on what scorecard is and how to administer it, as well as to device effective strategies for maximum impact. In her words, scorecard serves as a baseline for facts, as assertions cannot be made without facts. In the end, the participants were technically equipped to carry out the scorecard administration with unbiased mind.
