About Our Executive Director
Ogechi Florence Ikeh is a gender and development practitioner. A public speaker, an activist, a facilitator and output driver.
She is a graduate of Economics with diverse wealth of experience and deep knowledge of CSO spaces and governance. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Citizens Centre for Integrated Development for Social Rights (CCIDESOR). Desiring a free and fair society where citizens have unhindered access to basic human needs and safety environment. She believes in and pursues the inclusion of women on all fronts, to deliver good governance, peace and conflict resolutions, and better living conditions of citizens including vulnerable persons.
Ogechi is renowned for her advocacy on the inclusion of females in strategic political, social and economic positions in Nigeria. She has served in the capacity of as a project officer (Women in Governance) on a UN Women Funds for Gender Equality (FGE) project on full and active participation of women in leadership and governance in South-East Nigeria under Alliances for Africa (AfA) 2016-2019.
She is a qualified professional teacher registered under the Teachers Registration Council Nigeria (TRCN). She is a life Counselor/coach on girl child issues and challenges, impacting her space using any opportunity that avails itself.
Ogechi has also served in different capacities including as human resource personnel, project/program officer, secretary audit officer in various organizations. In the course of her advocacy work, she has partnered with INEC, National Orientation Agency (NOA) and Political Party leaders, Coordinator Kings Maidens, a girl child Faith Based Organization (FBO) initiative, Coordinator Couples Dialogue, a fora for married and intending couples, She coordinated the activities of Nigerian Feminist Forum (NFF) and the feminist charter, through issuing press releases/statements, sharing of relevant information, co-chaired panel discussions in NFF meetings and networks 2016-2018.
Ogechi is passionate about development work as it seeks to balance the governing and the governed, positively impact lives of citizens and holding leaders accountable.
